Thacher and Thompson Lake master plan public hearing announced

The state Office of Parks, Recreation and Historic Preservation has completed a draft master plan and draft environmental impact statement for John Boyd Thacher and Thompson Lake state parks. A public hearing plan will be held at 7 p.m. on Thursday, Aug. 1, at New Scotland Town Hall, which is located at 2029 New Scotland Road.

Voorheesville Middle School students’ usage of electronic devices is being tightly controlled under a new pilot policy developed by school administrators. Jim Franchini, principal of Voorheesville Middle School, sent an email through the district’s School News Notifier system Friday, April 12, morning detailing the new policy.
