Which baseball team will win the Suburban Council South Division title?

  • Bethlehem 58%
  • Colonie 26%
  • Columbia 2%
  • Guilderland 13%

53 total votes.

The voters spoke in last week's poll, and they declared Shaker would win the Suburban Council South Division boys lacrosse title. Well, Shaker isn't involved in this week's poll because it's not a South Division member in baseball (the Blue Bison are in the North). However, these four Suburban Council South Division baseball teams are in the mix this season:

Bethlehem: The Eagles overcame a rough start in the 2012 season by winning seven of their last eight games to make the Section II Class AA playoffs. They have everybody back from that team.

Colonie: The Garnet Raiders are also hoping for a strong finish this season, thanks to the fact that they return a large group of players from last year.

Columbia: The reigning South Division and Class AA Sectional champion Blue Devils graduated several players from last season, but they are always a threat.

Guilderland: Three losses to Columbia in 2012 -- including a 2-1 setback in last year's Sectional semifinal -- has the Dutchmen motivated to take the division and the Class AA title this time.
