Time to make the bunnies
The annual rite of spring takes place at Uncle Sam’s Homemade Chocolates in Schenectady is the making of Easter Bunnies. Joe Suhrada, owner of Uncle Sam’s, shows the steps in crafting the chocolate treats. The Chocolate is heated then scooped into molds. The molds are then cooled and opened revealing the bunny. They are then trimmed and decorated. Finally they are looking to be sold to a happy customer and enjoyed. Uncle Sam’s opened in 1930 and is located at 2571 Albany St. in Schenectady. Suhrada has owned the business since 1993 and crafted all things Chocolate ever since.
